verbs "avoir" (to have) and "être" (to be)

What about to learn how to use and conjugate the verbs "avoir" (to have) and "être" (to be)?

Ok? Let's go!

These verbs are very important because we use them all the time.

The verb "être"

It is employed to describe:
- a state: cette voiture est accidentée
              This car is crashed
- someone: elle est intelligente
                  she is clever
- something: cette machine est facile à utiliser
                    this machine is easy to use
- a mood: Pierre est fatigué
                Pierre is tired
- passive tense: le jardin est couvert de fleurs.
                        the garden is covered with flowers

How to conjugate it?

The verb "avoir"

This verb is used to describe:
- someone physically: Marie a les yeux verts 
                                 Mary has green eyes
- to possess something: mon voisin a une belle villa
                                     my neighbours has got a nice villa
- to use the perfect tense: j'ai acheté ce livre.
                                       I have bought this book.
